Tasting Notes

Nose: Raisins and cinnamon at first, before moving onto butterscotch, caramel and apple slice. A touch of floral malt, too.

Palate: Well rounded and mellow, but not lazy at all. More apple at first, soon joined by clementine segments and honey on toast. A spark of ginger.

Finish: Waxy peels and oak.

What some of our whisky enthusiast friends have said about Aberfeldy 16

Quote 1 “Simple smooth scotch. Nice for your non-whisky drinking friends.  Interesting mixture of sherry and bourbon.  Not too sweet as a full sherry cask matured, and not as dry as a bourbon cask matured.  A plesantly balanced best of both worlds approach”

Quote 2 “Great fruity notes with a hint of smoke which is unusual for Aberfeldy but really good…”

Quote 3 “Simply, not shy, but not overwhelming. An easy drinker for newbs or folks that do not care for the deeper drams”
