Aberlour 15

Description

Aberlour 15, is a 15 year old from the Aberlour distillery that is usually only found in mainland Europe.  It was originally released as an exclusive product for the French market.  Matured in a mixed of sherry and bourbon casks, lending fruity sweetness to the whisky.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Masses of sherry influence. Plump raisins and thick honey.

Palate: Dry, Raisin, Spicy, Nutty, Oaky, Floral, Autumn Fruits. Indeed, “Autumn Fruits” do comprise Cranberry, Pomegranate, and Quince. Which more accurately describe the experience.

Finish: Refreshingly drying. Citrus lasts.

Overall: Couldn’t be happier that this expression has found its way over here.
