Amrut Intermediate Sherry in Holzbox

Description

This malt was first matured in either Virgin Oak or Ex-Bourbon barrels, then in Sherry Casks and was then filled into Ex-Bourbon barrels for a finish.

Whiskey in India not only matures more aromatic, but also faster. Thanks to the warm and humid climate, wood and the freshly distilled whiskey form an intensive connection.

Tasting Notes:

Aroma: Slightly spicy pepper notes merge into dry oak, apricots and pecans.

Taste: Black raspberries and herbal baguette merge into the typical sherry, dark fruit and chocolate notes. The whole thing is rounded off by light waves of tobacco and floral aromas.

Finish: Persistent with aromas of coffee and dried flowers.
