Description
Bowmore 15 Year Old Darkest is a single malt scotch whisky in Bowmore’s Core Range. Produced on the famed Scottish island of Islay, the aptly named Darkest is the darkest offering in Bowmore’s extensive single malt portfolio.
Darkest gets its deep color and rich flavor profile from a carefully orchestrated maturation process. After aging in ex-bourbon barrels, Bowmore 15 spends the final three years of its aging in Oloroso sherry casks. The deep amber liquid that follows has aromas of raisin, spice and sherry, and rich flavors of cedar, toffee, chocolate, and smoke.
Bowmore 15 Year Old Darkest has been honored with two Gold Medals and a Gold Outstanding award at the International Wine & Spirit Competition, and Silver Medals from both the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and International Spirits Challenge.
