Feast your eyes upon the 2007 vintage Distilelrs Edition of Cragganmore’s excellent single malt! This expression was treated to a finishing period in Port casks, imparting a wealth of jammy red berry notes, before being bottled in 2019. If you like your whiskies to have a good helping of fruity sweetness at their core balanced by savoury whiffs of peat and oak, this will be right up your street.
Tasting Note
Nose: Meaty malt and smoked ham, with spiced berry compote and some boozy red wine richness.
Palate: Honeyed raspberries and strawberries, Frazzles, a hint of tobacco.
Finish: Cacao and ginger stick around on the finish.
