Glen Scotia 9 Year Old

Description

This limited-edition Glen Scotia was created for the 2024 Campbeltown Malts Festival. The whisky was initially matured in first-fill bourbon barrels and finished in fino sherry casks for six months. The resulting nine-year-old whisky has a floral and lively aroma of citrus and oak, followed on the palate by notes of lemon, orchard fruits and spices, with a hint of brine on the finish.

Nose: The aroma is fresh and floral, bursting with vibrant lemon citrus and white orchard fruits, underpinned by a subtle, inviting oak spice.

Palate: True to the nose, the palate offers a crisp and lively burst of flavors. Lemon zest mingles with fresh orchard fruits, while the oak spice intensifies, adding depth and complexity.

Finish: The finish is long, satisfyingly dry, and distinctly maritime, reflecting Glen Scotia’s coastal heritage. A hint of salinity complements the refined dryness, leaving a memorable impression.
