The 1994 vintage 21 year old Master Reserve expression from the wonderful Knockando distillery which lies near the River Spey. A gorgeous single malt matured in bourbon and Sherry casks, with loads of honey and vanilla notes all the way through.
Tasting Note
Nose: Ginger, oak spice, ice cream and pralines.
Palate: Almond and clove, with a touch of Sherried raisin. Honey-covered apples.
Finish: More honey, with a little touch of spearmint.

A beautiful smooth whisky with an almost creamy aftertaste; my partner also loved its well-aged, smooth creaminess. If I had my way, I would tone down that creaminess just a notch, but it’s still a delightful dram.
