Description
An excellent small batch bourbon, named for the grand nephew of Jim Beam, Baker Beam. This is a well-aged expression which makes use of a special strain of jug yeast which the Beam family have made use of for over 60 years.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Fruity, caramel, toffee, dark fruit, spice.
Palate: Nutty, with good grip. Plenty of tangy fruit with vanilla spice and rounded char.
Finish: Rounded, good length, sweetness and coffee.
What some of our whisky enthusiast friends have said about Baker’s 7 Year Old
Quote 1 “as like MM’s description, very very nice. Has an interesting cognac note to it, lots of nice nuts and fruit, as well as the standard bourbon note of oak vanilla. Has a feel of real fire on the tongue, may put some people off but I Love a whisky that tells me it has a high alcohol content. Though if you find it off putting add a few drops to it to cool the smouldering lump that used to be your tongue down. This bourbon goes well with just a few drops of water.”
