Full-bodied, with creamy vanilla notes, this is one of the best blends available anywhere. A testament to the art of the master blender, and fiercely championed by Jim Murray.
Description
A great 17 year old blend from Ballantines. This was Jim Murray’s Scotch Blend of the Year for 2010! Really biscuity and thick.

What some of our whisky enthusiast friends have said about Ballantine’s 17 YO
Quote 1 “If Ballantine’s Finest is the Red Label of Ballantine’s line up. Then Ballantine’s 12 is the Gold Label, which then makes the 17 the Blue Label, but at a MUCH better price point. In fact, I would rate 17 far superior to Johnnie Walker Blue Label. It’s creamy vanilla, fruits, some smoke lingering in it, but not peaty. Fairly long taste, oily and smooth. Personally, this is the best Blended Scotch I have had, for me it beats out even Compass Box.”
Quote 2 “quite honestly, you will NOT be able to find another whisky as smooth, complex and delicious as this for the money. I bought my second bottle of this recently and resolved to never have this whisky absent from my drinks cabinet.”
