This bottling is made with 100% Finnish rye, smoked in a 100-year-old barn using alder wood. The whisky was then matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and both French and American oak, resulting in a sweet and spicy dram. There are aromas of black pepper, salted caramel and bonfire smoke on the nose.
Description
Kyro Wood Smoke is made from 100% malted Finnish whole-grain rye. Following an old Northern tradition, the malt is alder smoked in a 100-year-old barn. The whisky is double pot-distilled and matured in ex-bourbon, French oak and new American white oak barrels, resulting in intense pepperiness and sweet notes of caramel and vanilla lifted by crisp alder smoke.
