Arran Quarter Cask Whisky The Bothy

Description

Re-released in autumn 2019 with a new look, Arran Quarter Cask has been matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in American oak quarter casks for a further two years. A full-bodied single malt, it balances aromas of creamy vanilla and cinnamon against bold, peppery spice. The palate offers notes of honey, coconut, pineapple and vanilla, alongside black pepper, ginger and oak spice.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Lemon peel, candy floss and a hint of cocoa.
Palate: Fresh tropical notes with pineapple, green apples and vanilla. A sllight touch of chilli gives a tantalising heat.
Finish: Aromatic, fruity and satisfying. The depth of sweetness if backed up by strength of the spiced oak, creating a lasting impression.
