The Mermaid is the inaugural entry into Glen Scotia’s Icons of Campbeltown range and sees its unpeated whisky finished in ex-Palo Cortado sherry cask. This has imparted aromas of sea breeze, citrus oils and toasted hazelnuts on the nose, leading to notes of salted caramel, walnut and polished oak on the palate.

Glen Scotia’s ‘The Mermaid’ 12-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a product of the Campbeltown region in Scotland, known for its rich whisky heritage. This expression is strongly influenced by its maritime surroundings, resulting in a harmonious balance of sweet and smoky flavors that reflect the rugged coast and sea spray. On the nose, the whisky entices with brine and salted caramel notes, reminiscent of seaside adventures. The palate offers a captivating sensory experience with flavors of ripe fruits and gentle peat smoke. Crafted with the finest Scottish barley and aged for twelve years, it exudes complexity and depth, inviting connoisseurs to savor each sip. This distinguished whisky has an alcohol content of 54.1% and is best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water, allowing the nuanced flavors to shine through.
