Description
This limited-edition single malt from Lindores Abbey distillery in Fife is dedicated to the legacy of Friar John Cor – the Father of Scotch Whisky. Bottled at natural cask strength and presented in a black bottle inspired by the cloth tunics worn by Lindores monks in the late 1400s, Chapter Two was aged in a combination of bourbon, STR and peated rum barrels.
Tasting Note:
Nose: Mellow maple syrup, roasted banana, fruity dates, apples and spicy cinnamon, caramelised demerara sugar with subtle waves of earthy peat.
Palate: Rich fruity pears, roasted banana with spicy cinnamon, caramelised nutty almonds followed by distant waves of pleasant, smoky earthy peat and subtle maritime notes. Very smooth velvety texture, well balanced and complex.
Finish: Long lasting with lots of character.
