Description
A powerful and robust full bodied whisky with a big blast of dry smoke, this Peated Edition of Black Bull from Duncan Taylor is a blend with a high percentage of malt to grain spirit. Bottled at 50% abv, this dram showcases dark malty tones with earthy peat, salt nuts and some citrus. The finish is warming and salty sweet with spiced apples and lingering smoky embers.
A special blend for all the fans of peated, smoky whisky.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Pale Gold
Nose: Immediate dry smoke, a light saline touch, dark malty tones with green apples and brown sugar beneath the smoke
Palate: Earthy peat, roasted salt nuts, some citrus, balancing sweetness to the peat, Dutch Stroopwafels, creamy mouthfeel, subtly complex
Finish: Good length, warming, salty and sweet, baked spiced apples with cinnamon and cloves, lingering smoky embers
