This Macallan Boutique Collection 2017 bottling is the second release in the series released to celebrate the opening of the distillery’s first ever standalone boutique store, at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Much like the 2016 edition, this whisky was hugely popular upon release and as such it’s very hard to come by today.

Masterfully crafted by the Macallan Master Distillers and Masters of Wood, Macallan Boutique 2017 delivers an exquisite tasting experience, just as you would expect from one of Scotland’s best distilleries. It’s rich and full with honeyed fruits, winter berries, Christmas cake, oak and subtle citrus. Bottled at cask strength, this is an excellent example of just how good Macallan whisky can be and it’s highly collectable today.

Tasting Notes

Nose: chocolate, coffee, dried fruit

Palate: honey, yeast, more chocolate but lighter this time

Finish: medium and delectable.
