Description
Singleton 12, a straightforward, nutty and malty single malt from Speyside. The Singleton of Dufftown was released to replace the Singleton of Auchroisk. It’s aged in a high proportion of European oak casks.
If you’re looking to use this little stunner in a cocktail, then you could do a lot worse than making a classic Highball. You can find a recipe for one right here.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Bubble gum. Dense fruit punch aromas, Red Vines, and a hint of anise. A rest in the glass neither adds nor removes anything from the equation.
Palate: Sweet again, with the same gum and punch notes. Orange taffy, vanilla, and cream soda. Hardly feel tongue burn. Sweet and fruity, but lacks complexity.
Finish: Medium to short. The fruits have become faint, but the candy flavors – maybe corn syrup remain. Fades very quickly without additional notes.
