Singleton 12 of Glen Ord is one of the three single malt Scotch whiskies sold under the Singleton brand. Glen Ord is a typical Highlander Scotch. It shares the Singleton brand name with the Glendullan and the Dufftown, both Speyside Scotch whiskies.
This is the most commonly available expression from the Glen Ord Distilleries, available under the Singleton brand. The other expressions are Singleton Glen Ord 15 and Singleton Glen Ord 18.
The culmination of combining the water from White Burn and barley from the Black Isle, the Singleton Glen Ord 12 is described as a fruity, and complex single malt Scotch that is smooth in finish and rich in taste. It has an alcohol strength of 40% ABV. It is matured in oak barrels from America and Europe. Besides, the Glen Ord Distillery emphasizes the slow fermentation process that lasts 75 hours, and how these factors contribute to its rich and complex taste.
