Description
The sixth in Wolfburn’s small-batch series, Batch 318 has been crafted from a combination of lightly-peated spirit, matured for a little over seven years in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts, and spirit matured for seven years in first-fill Bourbon barrels. These casks produced a sweet, rounded, sumptuous whisky with a peerless depth of flavour.
Tasting Note
Nose Well-balanced between dried fruit and smoky oak, with a lingering hint of clove.
Palate Cinnamon and more clove arrive first, mellowed by apple strudel and sherry-soaked raisins.
Finish Cinder toffee, pear tart, a little hint of singed barley.
