Macallan announced the release of The Macallan AERA in Sep 2018, exclusively in Taiwan region. Milestones in life shows this masterpiece inspiration. Like the making process, which reminds you that every moment in life’s journey should be savoured. As for maturation, sherry wine seasoned the oak casks for 2 years before they pouring into the Macallan whisky. At the end, it gives the characteristic of sweetness of dried fruits, honey and citrus. Then it ends with a very gentle and soft finish. Luckily, we witness the most memorable moment of all, and the creation of this remarkable single malt whisky.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Scottish heather honey.

Aroma: Rounded and well balanced with vanilla notes, candied dried fruits, orange peel and sweet citrus.

Palate: Hints of chocolates, dried fruits richness, smooth honey with a sweet citrus burst.

Finish: Medium to long, with lingering vanilla and a gentle warmth.
