Aberlour 16

Aberlour 16 Year Old is bit of a classic, and no mistake. Double-matured in traditional oak and sherry casks, it’s become a favourite of many and has won a fair few awards.  This is THE Aberlour that really sets a benchmark and starts to nudge those Macallan 18’s and says “hey, look at me, we’re pretty much as good as you but considerably better value.

What some of our whisky enthusiast friends have said about Aberlour 16

Quote 1 “Made my tongue tingle!  I’m glad this was my first bottle of Aberlour, very nice with a hint of spice that made my tongue tingle! ”

Quote 2 “The best Scotch I have ever tried. I`m a good Bourbon drinker. But this whisky is as smooth, if not smoother, than anything I`ve ever had. I tip my hat to you folks on a FINE Scotch Whisky.”

Quote 3 “The Aberlour 16yr is a genuine bargain and one that I can highly recommend. Obviously, it’s nothing like the 10yr, it is much richer and deeper. There is no shortage of that Speyside sherried sweetness but it doesn’t dominate and the taste is complex, balanced, fruity and long. Many say the Aberlour 10yr is a beginners whisky, however, I say the 16yr is a lesson everyone should learn.”
