Macallan 25 Sherry Oak, 2018 bottling. This sublime spirit enjoys a cult following in some of the finest hotels and bars in the world where demand for the precious malt continually outstrips supply. Rated 100 out of 100 by the Beverage Institute of Chicago in 1999.
This expression is a shining example of The Macallan’s tenacious attention to detail. The luxury spirit undergoes a meticulous aging process and contains only the finest ingredients – Momentum, a unique strain of barley exclusive to The Macallan; mineral-rich water drawn from beneath The Macallan Estate; and a specially formulated cultured yeast. This insistence on quality ensures The Macallan Sherry Oak 25 Years Old contains rich and complex flavors, ensuring that every sip achieves the highest standards of being the world’s most precious whisky.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Raisins and bittersweet orange and complemented by stewed orchard fruit and spice.
Palate: Layers of dried fruit: raisins, apricots, figs, prunes, apples. Honey sweetness and more spice.
Finish: Very long and lingering, with cherry and stewed apple fading to rich charred notes.

A long finish. Very high quality whiskey, smooth and bursting of flavour, exceptionally well made.”
